RE: W1AW Operating Events
In just about 10 days, Pacific Division Members in California can BE the
Special Event Station W1AW/6 as part of ARRLs America250 WAS
Celebration. W1AW/6 Starts on April 1 0000Z (that's 5PM on Tuesday
March 31st) and runs through Tuesday April 7th at 2359Z (that's Tuesday
April 7th at 4:59PM).
Any ARRL member station may participate regardless of license class,
however you must operate within the privileges of your license. CLUB
stations can set up a special event at a member's station or your club
station and participate as a group of operators. Club stations are
encouraged to have a multi-band, multi-op on-the-air event if your
station can support that experience successfully. CLUB stations should
also consider activating W1AW as part of their club meeting night if
they meet during the week of APR 1 - 7.
Amateur Radio Operators from around the world will be looking for W1AW/6
to complete their requirements for the Americas250 Worked All States
Award - we need California W1AW/6, Nevada W1AW/7, Hawaii W1AW/KH6, and
Guam W1AW/KH2 on the air as much as possible!

CLUB CALL ACTIVATIONS - AMERICA250 WAS
An additional Endorsement to the America250 WAS Award is available for
working Club Calls in all 50 states!
Club leaders, I encourage you to have your members activate your club
call sign as much as possible during 2026. Consider following the
guidelines for W1AW activation but for your club call! Also designate
times around club meeting nights or events to put your club call
on-the-air POTA style. It will be a great opportunity to get your club
members on the air, learning and working together to get your club
station "radio active" which will help you be more "club active"
