Hello!
A few updates from your Pacific Section Manager.
First of all this weekend is Grid Madness!
This is a UHF/VHF contest, happening this Sunday, September 27th from 1300 to
1700 HST
The event is open to operators of every license class and uses simplex
frequencies only. This four-hour event is designed for EMCOMM practice and
fun. Test your equipment, coverage, and operating skills using FM simplex on
6 meters, 2 meters, 1.25 meters, and 70 centimeters.
More information can be found here

Second, this is "The Year of the Club" for ARRL. One of the resources I
recently found is the MARCONI Program ( https://www.arrl.org/marconi- program )
- they do not have any Pacific clubs participating in this program, yet, so if
you are interested please contact me. They have a number of resources for
different sorts of activities, describing how to get started in them. So, for
example, if your club wanted to get started in Fox Hunting, they have a bunch
of resources for that.
Third, I found out about a membership drive for the ARRL, specific for the
Pacific Division - basically, if you sign up enough members, you get free
books and other swag. You can find out more here:
https://www.pacific.arrl.org/ membership-drive
That's all I have for right now. I hope you are staying safe and healthy, and
having fun with ham radio!
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me. :)
Aloha and 73
